Hello, I’m Deb Stevens.
Mum, writer, teacher, innovator.
I’m inspired by little but fierce people and things, and by everyday magic in the details.
Over the last twelve years, I’ve written over twelve books for various ages and genres. I’m a long-standing member of SCBWI and have helped multiple authors accomplish their artistic dreams.
The creative, collaborative process of brainstorming, writing, editing, and publishing is a puzzle I love ciphering. I’m comfortable with multiple formats and platforms, and I’m always looking forward to learning more.
When not working with words, I enjoy swimming and hiking with my littles, cooking with flavorful spices, singing to plants in my garden, and sitting under my cat (should she deign to accept my lap). I’m also a licensed Language Arts teacher and love part-time sub teaching whenever school’s in.
